This trip had a little bit of everything: a pelagic, coastal birding and then mountain experiences. It was beautiful country, and we had a good group to travel with. As usual, Adam was a wonderful representative of Birds GA, and Steve and Harry were great at spotting the birds we were hoping to see. All around a great trip!

As usual, this Birds Georgia trip was awesome!!! The birding experience always exceeds my expectations. The guides from Red Hill Birding were exceptional. The lodging and meals were above par as usual. I can’t think of anything I’d alter.

A good pelagic but too late in the season for several target species like puffins. Emphasis seemed to be on shorebirds over land birds. In 10 days, we only went owling twice. The group was too large to depend on service from small roadside coffee vendors for breakfast, and even when we got served, often by one person, it took a really long time. Logistically, the uncertainty around meals seemed a little chaotic. The clients on this trip seemed more interested in food and dining than birding. I am accustomed to more meals in the field, which maximizes time for birding, and smaller groups. The guides were good and very knowledgeable.

Wonderful scenery and great birds!

We had a great time and found nearly every target bird plus more than expected. The accommodations were very good, we had good food, while taking into account the size of the group. Some delays occurred with meal times as well as late evenings which could have been avoided. Pre-planning sites for meals and coffee on the road was a problem early in the trip. I believe being efficient while birding is important, and keeping redundant species observation at a minimum. The transportation was excellent and guided were very knowledgeable.
